You Can Sponsor Rosaries for Soldiers!

How does sponsorship work?

Any donations made to Yellow Ribbon Rosaries are always appreciated and help pay for supplies and postage to send these Rosaries to soldiers and their families.

You can donate two ways. A one time donation or a monthly subscription donation.

When you sign up for a monthly recurring donation, we will include a note in one Rosary for every $5 per month. So if you sign up for a $25 recurring donation, there will be five sponsorship cards in your name each month. This note will tell the receiving soldier that his or her Rosary is a sponsored Rosary. We will include as little or as much contact information as you like. You can choose to tell the soldier that the Rosary is made anonymously or you can include your full mailing address so that the soldier can write to you if he wishes or anything in between.

I am introducing a new program within Yellow Ribbon Rosaries. Every donation and subscription helps to support the mission of providing Battlefield Rosaries. As a thank you for supporting this Mission, I am offering a discount on any Heirloom Rosary on my site based on your Monthly Subscription. When you sign up for a Battlefield Rosary Subscription, you may take a corresponding percentage discount off an Heirloom Rosary. If your Subscription is $5.00 per month, you may take 5% off the retail price of a Rosary. If you subscribe for $10, take 10%, $25 discounts by 25%. Of course the Heirloom Rosary is available for yourself or as a gift. To thank you for your continued support, you may claim this discount once a year. That means you don’t get just one shot for this, you can use your first discount the very day you begin a subscription. Then, next year, you may take a discount again at the same levels that match your subscriptions. This is just one way I would like to thank anyone who wishes to help send these rugged Rosaries to the men and women who keep us all safe.

Please understand that the soldiers are very busy and don’t have a lot of time. Some may write you a note, some may not. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t receive a note, your receiving soldier is definitely greatly appreciative to receive this precious gift and will remember you in his prayers.

Battlefield Rosary

Missions come in many flavors and each of us find our own. My family has always been a military one and I have always felt a deep appreciation for anyone in uniform. My Battlefield Rosaries were really what started Yellow Ribbon Rosaries. They were actually where I found the name.

I have, to date, sent out several thousand Rosaries, all made by my own hand, to the Middle East, Korea and Naval personnel. The Rosaries come in Desert Tan, Olive Drab and Black, and Grey & Blue.

In addition to the Rosaries, I have also begun gathering DVDs that are no longer being watched and sending them to soldiers in battle zones. The soldiers also appreciate hard candies, baby wipes, and phone cards. I have many Rosary customers as well as friends at my church and former fellow employees who send me these items to include in my Rosary boxes. The chaplain who passes out my rosaries also passes these items among our soldiers.

The highlight of my day is when I open my mailbox and see an envelope with no stamp, just the word 'free' written in the upper right hand corner.

I am not a tax exempt organization (way too many forms and procedures to handle) This is simply Lay Ministry. Visitors to my site are welcome to make donations which will be used to purchase supplies for Rosaries, pay for postage, and purchase other goodies for the soldiers. Donations may be made as one time or ongoing monthly donations.

Request a Rosary for YOUR soldier!

The mission of Yellow Ribbon Rosaries is to provide Battlefield Rosary Packets to soldiers. If you or a member of your family is serving overseas, we will be happy to send a Battlefield Rosary for you, NO CHARGE! NO shipping. NO handling, NO charge! The only thing we ask is that you give us the mailing address. We only offer these to be mailed to an APO or FPO but if you provide us with a name and APO or FPO address, we will be thrilled to send you or your soldier a Rosary. This is what we do and are happy to provide these for you.

Homefront Rosary

The Homefront is sometimes the hardest place to be during any conflict. While we support our soldiers, we must also remember those families waiting for them to come home, praying for their safety. When I send my Ranger Rosaries to soldiers overseas, each package includes a small form with which the soldier may request that I send a Home Front Rosary to a member of their family or to a friend. Home Front Rosaries are made of 6mm glass and each one has a small Yellow Ribbon charm attached.

To me, the members of the military are THE most important people in this country and their families are THE most important people to them. So I chose to do what I can to support both groups. Please, pray for them, thank them and support them when you can.

When Battlefield Rosaries are sent to Soldiers in Forward areas, they are sent in a small package with several devotional items. Among those items is a St. Michael Prayer Card. These are custom printed for Yellow Ribbon Rosaries and the artwork is by Artist Lawrence Klimecki. Mr. Klimecki, on hearing of the lay mission of Yellow Ribbon Rosaries, graciously granted permission to use his artwork for Prayer Cards for our Troops. His is truly a unique talent.
